- Edinburgh Festivals
Since the late 1940’s Edinburgh has become the home for many forms of artistic talent. Throughout August and September, Edinburgh’s population doubles as residents and tourists enjoy nine different Festivals, including the famous Fringe festival.
The Fringe Festival is said to break its own record every year as the largest arts festival on the planet. It has been in Edinburgh’s culture since 1947, and each year it brings thousands of performances and hundreds of shows in nearly 300 venues across Scotland's capital city.
Edinburgh’s summer program continues to grow with its Book, Film, Jazz and International festivals. The famous Hogmanay party that takes place in Princes Street to welcome the New Year starts on the 29th December which includes a concert in Princes Street Gardens and a breathtaking Firework display.
